Good personal trainers to recommend? Massage thetapists?

Trainers for...? Lifting/strength? Running? Swimming? “General” fitness? Something else?
Massage for...? Sports? Therapeutic? Hot rock? Happy?
For general fitness training, both the ymca and UofM (ccrb and athletic complex) have decent people and good equipment. You do not need to be affiliated with the U to go there, though it costs slightly more.
Swimming, hang out at Mack pool on the weekdays. Check the city website for hours, but they have drop in swim coaches and they work with all levels.
Running, hang around either running fit or Ann Arbor running club. Both have really good coaches.
For sports kinesiology and really great massages try Human Performance Collective. They really know their shit.
I need a personal trainer because I need to be healthy af

I’m a trainer at the Ypsilanti Crunch. I have a degree in Sports Performance and am certified through NESTA. If interested, you can head in there and ask for Jon or meet with Dan Bolster (the PT Manager) and he can get you scheduled with me.

Mary, you'll want to be NSCA Certified personal trainer. They are at the top and have the most comprehensive education in the Industry. NSCA Certified Personal Trainers are the highest regarded and they tend to make the most money. You can find the books you'll need to prep for the exams on Amazon. You'll need the book titled "NSCA ' s essentials of personal training" and "Exercise Technique Manual for Resistance Training" and "Developing the Core". I also highly recommend "Foundations of Sport and Exercise Psychology" 5 th edition. Along with "Sport and Exercise Nutrition" 4 th edition. All can be found on Amazon all for under $250.00
