Any suggestions for seafood restaurants? We like the ones the locals go to....nothing fancy.

Old Salty Dog is a favorite for my family. Very casual, lots of choices . In the village.

For the past 30 years, we've been going to Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar on almost each and every trip to Siesta. It's on the mainland, but very close by on Tamiami Trail. Very informal. All kinds of fresh seafood. Here's the link: http://www.creekseafood.com/

Owens Fish Camp is a must try....Columbia's in St Armand's circle is tapas and comes highly recommended

Phillippi Creek! The BEST crab stuffed shrimp ! We are on our way from Ohio to Sarasota now and we will def be there at least once this trip.
