My wife and I just adopted a chocolate lab at 8 weeks old. He was a little more than puppy biting so we decided to do a 2 week Board and Train, which we are currently 1 week into. At just about a week our puppy has stopped biting, sits, stays, lies down, and goes into his crate all on command. She is still working with him and we only expect him to be even better. I highly recommend using Michelle Rhodes. I can provide contact info if interested.

Greg Williams - trains K9's and trained our Pit when we rescued him. Phenomenal! at http://www.metropolitank9.com/

Crystal Heath - my dog didn't have food aggression, but he showed us what to do to ensure it never happened. We started by taking food from his bowl a little bit at a time and feeding him by hand, plus he had our kids do it too so they never had to worry how he might act - since kids tend to not know any better and take their food:) but, that was as a puppy, however, I have no doubt he would have a solution for an older dog with food aggression. I referred him to a friend for her Chocolate lab and she loved him!

I second Sam at Leash Free Living! She's super sweet, low key, understanding and say to work with. But her touch and help with dogs is firm, no nonsense, and instantly applicable. She teaches group but will also come to you for private sessions or take your dog for intensive walks.

Mike J. replied:
We took Finn to Sarah at Upward Dog training (in Annapolis). She did a week of board and train and then 3 follow ups at our house. She sent us over 80 videos throughout the week to show his progress and to teach us what to do when we got him back. When we picked him up it was like getting a new dog. Well, same dog, but he was much happier and his anxiety level was noticeably lower. He walks on leash without pulling now (which he always pulled like crazy). He doesn't bark at everything he sees. He doesn't charge in and out of the door. He can be in his crate without barking and whining the whole time. Sarah did an awesome job and we would recommend her to anyone. She truly loves the dogs and cares about what she is doing for them and their owners.
