Day Labor To Help With a Move? Does anybody know of a place in Brooklyn where I can hire a few guys to help me load a truck with packed boxes, mattress etc.?

Depending on what part of Brooklyn, you could just start moving it by yourself and someone may randomly start helping you. And then stand around for 10 minutes asking you for $100 for their trouble. But yeah, taskrabbit would probably be your best bet.

Why not just hire movers? If you want semi local people , check Yelp. I found some college age kids to do it once in South Brooklyn, but they bitched and moaned by the end. Craigslist probably has options but no one of knowing any reputation. You're better off with insured movers who are professionals.

If you live in a building with a super, maybe pay them to help or ask if they know anyone.

There are guys that hang out by the U-Haul in park slope you can hire.

Whatever you do, don’t use any movers that aren’t certified. I got scammed out of 500 dollars by a moving company that had amazing review on yelp and google. They held my stuff for ransom, had to give them an extra 500 dollars more than was agreed.
