Have you considered a nanny share? I'm trying that this year with a co-woker. She hired the nanny from care.com. She has 3 kids and Mallory will go to their house. In total, we are paying the nanny $12/hour (4 kids, but one is in school all day and 1 is in preschool 4 half days per week), but I am paying $4/hour. Overall, it will be more cost effective and convenient than the daycare.
