Did a search in the archives and didn't come up with anything - anyone have a recommendation for reliable/affordable garage door repair?
We have a door that's in good...

Thanks for the recommendation. Glad to hear you had a good experience with Precision - I called them first, and my luck wasn't as good. Went with Triad Door Co in the end and had much better results. Precision's tech hemmed and hawed and eventually bailed after realizing the job wasn't going to be a run of the mill job and easy money in turn. He went from saying he might be able to fix the springs - to then stating it wasn't really going to be easy - to then referencing some vague, ill-defined safety hazards - to finally saying "I'm just going to take a walk on this one and not charge you anything." Triad's tech Joe was the complete opposite - he acknowledged up front it wasn't an easy fix due to the quirks of an Ardmore home and an old door, but stuck it out and got the job done in an hour and a half for a fair price. I now have a safe & smoothly-operating door with all-new springs, rollers, cables and pulleys! Triad is a smaller, family-owned local company as well in comparison to Precision which I believe is a bigger/franchise operation now that I've read more? So my vote goes to Triad Door Company!
