I go to The Eye Guys (Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Augusta) over behind Doctors...the doctor I usually see is no longer there, but I know they all come pretty highly recommended and I know of a bunch of other physicians that are treated there!
Barbara F. replied:
I have heard good things about all the doctors mentioned above. I go to Bertrum with the Eye Guys but I've had to wait up to 6 months for an appointment. Dr. McLeod with the group died and now it's really hard to get an app.

Does anyone know of a good eye doctor in or close to Moss Bluff that takes medicaid? Or if not, one that's affordable? My daughter failed her eye test at her...
Tarra R. replied:
My kids have significant eye issues and I've been very pleased with Dr Amy Snell at Vision Works in the mall. She takes her time and is much more thorough than the doctors we'd previously seen at the Eye Clinic. Idk about Medicaid though.
Kayla H. replied:
I'm going to try the Menard Eye Clinic. She really freaked out when they did the eye drops to dilate her eyes so definitely need someone patient. Thanks everyone.

Whats a good eye doctor to see if you don't have any insurance in Lima?
Rita P. replied:
This is the Fishbaugh Eye Clinic in Lima.. Insurance is Most Major Medical Insurance Accepted including: Medicare, Medicade and HMO’s Providers for Vision Service Plan (VSP), Eyemed, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and Spectera and several others
Hall S. replied:
Sorry, not in Lima. My point is those should be ballpark numbers. My sister used to work at Shawnee Optical and I think they were generally reasonable. I went to an office on W Market, between Jameson and Cole, when I was younger. I see "The Eye Site of Lima" is in the same location and Dr Cajacob sounds vaguely familiar... Give them a call and ask them upfront what is the CASH price for an exam.
Jodi J. replied:
Try sears. Dr Do charges $45-$50 for exam. They offer 2 pair for $99 a lot. Call to ask for specials or sales.
Bob C. replied:
That was Ann Rae Miller that was in with CaJacob. She opened her own practice, Visual Eyes, on Allentown Road.
Local peeps: do you have a good eye doctor recommendation? Thanks.
Jessica L. replied:
Dr. Tim Tippett. He used to be our bishop and is great. Thanks for reminding me. I need to call for Adam today!
Michelle M. replied:
I work for Dr. Hanks on post...she is great! Took my kids to her before I started working there.
Wendy H. replied:
I knew a good one about 6 months ago. ;) But I think he moved . . . Anyway, I know from my husband actually working for both of them that Dr. Tippett and Dr. Hanks are both good doctors. I think the guy at Costco is Dr. Fowler. As far as I know he's pretty good.
