I was sent to Athletic Edge Sports Medicine for a few sessions (before finding one closer to me) and they seemed decent enough. Located at King and York. EDIT: Not downtown, but I've also been to Synergy Sports Medicine near Lansdowne station and Lifemark at St. Clair & Bathurst who were fantastic, especially a physio named Alex.

I love my Physio Brooke at [Aches and Pain Clinic](http://mcithedoctorsoffice.ca/patients/clinics-aches-pains.php) Located in Royal Bank Plaza, a short hobble along the Path from Union Station.

Had a massive SI joint issue. Went through several clinics in town, over the course of 10 months, including Macintosh at UofT (mentioned in comments already). Nothing really worked. The issue persisted until I talked to a colleague from work who is involved in Iron Man and who coaches marathons. Basically, he sent me to a clinic that puts his folks together when they get wrecked.
I was pretty skeptical at this point since I was tired of "I know a guy who knows a guy", but I figured since I'm living with pain and have solid health insurance, what have I got to lose?
That clinic is Adelaide West Physiotherapy. The owner is Angus Driver. He does IMS - intra-muscular stimulation. Basically, he stabs the problem out of you -- and it freaking WORKS!

Basically, after first assessment I kept thinking "this guy must have an x-ray vision" and "I'm going to really give this a shot".
I've had tight quads, messed up right SI join, messed up hamstring, structural imbalance in L3/L4, over-strained left shoulder... many things accrued over years. They're all fixed now.
Be warned that wait times may be as high as 2 months, because this guy is in demand for a very good reason. I cannot recommend him enough (I have 4 family members going to him, we're all pretty active).

Not sure how the strip club would have helped. Try Synergy Sports Medicine. Near Landsdown station. Great staff.

Totum Life Science has a few locations. King and Spadina is easy to get to.

UofT has a good clinic (the Macintosh Clinic). The rates are cheaper if you're a student I believe. EDIT: Just noticed your tag says Kensington. The clinic is located in the basement of the Athletic Centre at UofT (Spadina and Harbord).

East York Orthopaedic & Sports injury clinic. http://www.easttorontophysiotherapy.com/ Main office is across Danforth from Coxwell station and there's a satellite office at Adelaide and Sherbourne. Try and get an appointment with David Evans -- he's worked with several of Canada's National Teams and definitely knows what he's doing.

Dr. Ali at East Liberty Medical is pretty amazing. He's a Chiro, but I've never had an adjustment from him - lots of active release, grasten technique, and acupuncture.

I've been to [Shape](http://www.shapetoronto.com/) several times. The staff is really friendly and know their shit. It's on Davenport, near Avenue.
