Does anybody have experience running a successful Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign? Or know someone who does?

I've run three successful Kickstarter projects and I'm happy to tell you about my experience and what has worked for Silicon Hills News - but there are others that have run them for hardware products. I'd recommend going to the Austin Hardware meetup. Here's someone who did a lawn watering KS from Austin. - his funding was unsuccessful. You can learn a lot from people who didn't make it too. https://www.meetup.com/Austin-Hardware-Startup/messages/78472642/

By the way, Kickstarter is doing something special for the month of March - it is allowing people to create one week projects. So you can just dip your toe into the water with your Pool Skimmer and just do a test run with a small goal to see how it goes. https://www.kickstarter.com/blog/announcing-all-in-1-a-creative-sprint-for-one-week-projects

That blog post is older, but fundamentals hold true. Basically don't assume people will find it on kickstarter on their own -- there's too much noise. Market it like it like you would if u we're selling on your own site and establish connections with influencers to help promote it within their network
Pool Resurfacing Recommendations We were lucky enough to buy a house with a pool in Round Rock, and we've been told that it's pretty much time to get it resurfaced. Our...

I was an owner of Tejas Pools located in Beaumont, TX. We contracted out re-plasters from a company in Houston to ensure it was done correctly by professionals. Plus, it was more cost efficient and saved time. I spoke with the owner, and he does travel to Austin quite frequently for plaster jobs for pool builders in the area and hotels. I recently moved to Austin to build Sprinkler Repair Pros, LLC, but I would be happy to come check out your pool and give you an estimate. Hopefully, I can save you a couple thousand dollars. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Hines Pool. Total restoration of ours. Amazing work. Honest, timely and on budget. Offered many tile colors and surface color/type.

Go with PebbleTec or PebbleSheen. They keep a close watch on their installers and only licensed applicators can use it, so best to just ask them to refer you to someone in your area.
