https://www.facebook.com/155086071185776 Saigon Spring is also nice if you want to try something a little different. My wife and I will usually get an order of shrimp summer rolls, a goi ga chicken salad and an order of brisket pho to go. Really yummy and not much more than you would spend on traditional take out.

Madeline S. replied:
I used to love Shing Fung but the last two times I went there have been disappointing. Once the meat was rotten the other they completely messed up our order and the food wasn't as flavorful as before. So I am wondering about trying another restaurant.
Cyndi B. replied:
Best around? Spring Garden in Lansingburgh/North Troy. Its just over the bridge from Cohoes. For less driving Tasty Chinese at Exit 12- Price Chopper plaza. Haven't tried any of the new ones in CP.
Maria M. replied:
Anything in our area? We really like Great Tangs in Saratoga but I'd like something a little closer to home
Debbie C. replied:
I go to Shing Fung by the new PC at 146/146 a. I also like the place off exit 12 at the rt 9 circle, name escapes me.
Looking for local input.. If cafe/restaurant where to open in there area what would you like to see on the menu?
Jennie S. replied:
Something like The Local, or Druthers, but close to us and with a greater assortment of vegetarian dishes and beautiful salads. Oh, and wine.

Would love a European coffee bar. A welcoming place to meet up with friends or read a few chapters. Simple but home baked pastries, breakfast sandwiches, a seasonal lunch menu all from local sources. Sweetness_7 Cafe in Buffalo is a wonderful example. You can look it up here on FB. It feels like you are walking into home !
Terry H. replied:
Maybe at Bishops Square? Near Exit 11. Looks like the PDD includes restaurants and fast food restaurants (up to 2). http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2016/mar/08/0308_malta/

Maybe at GrandeVille Park Place at Malta? Retail planned. http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/morning_call/2016/03/windsor-plans-to-build-walkable-community-in-malta.html?ana=fbk

Does anyone know of any nice restaurants that are open on Christmas Day? Doesn't have to be in Clifton park. Thanks
Terry H. replied:
Christmas and New Years day are tough. Opentable.com, TU TableHopping blog, usually publish a list. Hotel restaurants might be open. Chinese food. Maybe Rain in Albany. Has off street parking.
Looking for ideas for a brunch bridal shower. Anyone know of a restaurant in the area? Clifton Park, Mechanicville, Saratoga area. Thanks

Veronica S. replied:
I know it’s not in the areas you mentioned but the Tailored Tea in Latham is yummy & they have private rooms upstairs. Not sure how big of a party you are looking to have.
Jennifer M. replied:
I just had my sister’s Sprinkle at Saratoga National. It was stunning and you’d be surprised but it was quite reasonable. Also, Brook Tavern, Wheatfields, Delmonico’s, Lake Local and Prime in CP (if you don’t want to go to Albany)
Anyone been to Villagos Pizza Place on Ballston Lake recently? Any reviews?
Stephanie B. replied:
Terrible service. Won’t go back.
Meredith K. replied:
Highly recommend, especially for Sunday brunch/lunch. We’ve brought friends, family, young children, and never been disappointed. Morgan has been our waitress the last few times we’ve been, and she was attentive and sweet. Bottomless Bloody Marys on Sunday afternoon are the best!
