TaxAct, $20 and unless you own a bunch of rental properties or have very complex depreciations and deductions, the software works tremendously. Acts like you are being interviewed with simple questions and guidance. End of the session it provides you statistics and suggestions. I have been using it for 15 years and at one point I did have a complex rental situation where my wife inherited a percentage of rental properties from a great aunt. Everything worked fine. Besides unless you lie like Donald Trump you will not be audited anyway.

I use Hauk Kruse (http://www.hkaglobal.com/) in Creve Coeur off Emerson road. They're a very professional outfit but not cheap. It cost me $450 last year but my taxes are considerably more complicated than most. I've been using them for nine years and have been happy with them.

[Tax Strategies, LLC](http://monetagroup.com/our-professionals/tax-strategies/) When I switched over to them they saved me a few grand that year. They went back over my pervious 4 year filings and got me back an additional 4 k.
