Never Say Cutz (NVSC) mapped to Sukhumvit 51 (between Sukhumvit 49 & 51 - on the street) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Never-Say-Cutz/160331657356506https://www.facebook.com/Neversaycutz I'd recommend calling ahead to book: 02-662-6781

NVSC is as down-to-earth as you are going to get for a barbers shop and shave in Bangkok for me - and very reasonable/cheap. It is like an old NYC barbers shop but they also do custom shaves etc. could not recommend them more. https://www.facebook.com/Neversaycutz

Mister Tong's Manhattan Barbers, just a few steps down Soi 8 on the right hand side (60 seconds from Nana BTS, 120 seconds at a stroll) is a genuine old school barber. He's bowed to the inevitable and has let the back of the shop out for massage tables, but he has kept two chairs in the window for proper barbering. It feels like walking into the 1950 s. If Mister Tong himself isn't there, although he nearly always is, I can't vouch for the quality.

+669-0424-1993 K. Pom. Bottom of Ekhamai (Suk Soi 63 h). Used him fortnightly for 5 years. About THB80 haircut, 120 with wash. Small street fruit/veg market on RH side at Pethchanuri end of Ekhamai. Turn down the road directly next to the market. Little way down on LH side is 7-11. Turn left there, Barbers sign about 30 m down on right. Great guy. Perfect English. He went to school in UK for a while when his father was working there.
Looking for a barber for undercuts/pompadour, friendly and speaks some English so that I can tell him/her what i want done with my mess of a hair.

Thong Lor sky train station has an "automated" barber shop. You buy a coupon (100 B) from a machine. A simple cut takes about 10 minutes. Normally no queue, there are 2 or 3 barbers working there almost non-stop. Of course it does not make sense to travel there if you are very far. Some other stations may have the same shop. I think I saw one in Nana.

Haircuts in Bangkok can range from 60 to several thousand baht, depending how picky you are. Personally, I'm happy with the regular 80 baht haircuts. They are all over town, I used one near Ramada Hotel on Rachaprarop Soi 8 in Pratunam. If you want something fancy, I heard good things about Truefitt & Hill at Central Embassy mall (bit pricy, though).
