Animal Shelters in Barcelona, Spain

Because there are thousands of dogs (ad puppies) in animal shelters which will be killed if homes cannot be found. And besides unscrupulous breeding practices mean that many pet shop pets suffer with health issues. I got my beautiful dog 11 years ago at Battersea Dogs home. He's about 15 now and has been perfect in every way.

Santiago F Seriani, don't give up on older dogs either - many of them are well behaved and socialised. And there are so many of them needing homes. I adopted 2 spaniels (sisters) aged 8 and had 9 happy years with them before they left us.

i don't know about any shelters, but i follow this association http://barcelonagatigos.org/s39/la-asociacion. The have cat adoption/fostering and occasionally have posting about dogs as well.
