Hi all, we have only been in Bargo a couple of years & are looking for a Dentist must be good with kids & a computer doctor ? Thanks in advance
Laurel Q. replied:
Gentle dental at Tahmoor, although bargo has a dentist now. Den has been he said he was ok. Computer guy in bargo is great quick & honest will find his number. Other side of the line a block behind the pub. I found him reasonable for price too.
This is an excellent dentist - good quality and very experienced - http://healthengine.com.au/dentist/nsw/narellan/dr-michael-burgess/p34214http://mittagongdentalcare.com.au/contactus/ Operates out of Narellan & Mittagong.

Morning everyone.
I'm looking for a local doctor, someone who is thorough. Not keen on medical centres but will try if the Dr is great.

Susan C. replied:
Dr Hanbury or Dr Chan at Mittagong Medical Centre48711500 17 regent street
Michelle E. replied:
Dr Vijay Vidali at Tahmoor is great. She use to be at Campbelltown for years, I use to travel there just to see her. When I found out she moved to Tahmoor Medical Centre I was over the moon. She's thorough and doesn't mince words which overly sensitive people may not like but she's very nice. She's also a trained Obstetrician as well though she only currently practices as a GP.
Gail W. replied:
Went to see Dr Rankin just after we moved down here and symptoms were non related but I was told that it would help if I lost weight. Not been back to him since. Now we go to doctors at Camden Central Family Practise. Bit further to go but they are all thorough
Elizabeth M. replied:
DR Forceville
Jade B. replied:
I find Dr Forceville (female) awesome. She is at tahmoor medical centre only problem is that she only works certain days and its quite hard to get an appointment with her. My daughter has has an ongoing medical condition since a baby, we went through 4 gps with her and just last week saw Dr Locke who works with Dr Rankin and he was amazing !! He used to work at the childrens hospital and didnt push us out the door with a quick fix like other doctors.... he actually took the time to hear my daughters history
Nicola B. replied:
That's what I'm after Jade someone who actually gives a shit. So Dr Locke works with Dr Rankin at Bargo or is he separate?
Just recieved a letter from my son's pediatrician confirming what the doctor had told me our appt. Are any other local parents in this situation? I'm hoping to keep him...
Peter M. replied:
Yanderra PS provides excellent support and as a small school helped my daughter.
Lisa B. replied:
Bargo mc is full and isn't taking others . I am totally with Ka Trina and support her words. Tahmoor did not and has not helped my sons situation at all . I was so torn and believed them over him every time . No more he is out . I have also heard picton in fantastic.
Ka T. replied:
Suzanne Warder it is pointless having more and more im classes in primary schools when they are then left to fend for themselves in high school. There is already not enuf high school positions for all the support kids now. My son was in support since year 1. Six years of support and then thrown into mainstream high school. After one hour a day part time enrolment from pathetic tahmoor school for the better part of year six. Better off staying mainstream and teaching them to cope. Instead of providing 6 yrs of a false sense of security. Shameful education system.
Lisa B. replied:
Excellent i give you my mobile no . 0404129211 :) enjoy your break and look forward to speaking with you .
Looking for feedback re dr rankin please?

Leanne M. replied:
Tim Rankin has been my doctor for 33 yrs. My son no longer lives in Bargo but still comes back to see Tim. I won't go any where else. He does not suffer fools gladly, tells it like it is and if it's a serious issue, he leaves no stoned unturned. He is great with little kids.
Helen B. replied:
As a broken down old nurse, Tim Rankin is one of the best diagnosticians I have had the pleasure of knowing. He is kind and he listens.
Tracy H. replied:
I left Tim Rankins practice when he had a boof head off sider and Tim got too busy to see one of his patients that had been loyal to him since he start here in his lunch hour. I have now for years been seeing Dr Hedford in Mittagong. She's great, caring and very experienced.
Narelle T. replied:
Dr Rankin has been physician to 4 generations of my family, need I say more?
Karolyn S. replied:
I take my kids to see Dr Wood at Eastbrook Bowral. Kids are bulk billed there and he is very thorough, talks well with/to the kids and is very approachable. My other half sees Tim and is quite happy with him for his no nonsense approach. He will tell you how it is, not to be nasty but so you are informed, but it depends on the style you are looking for. Goodluck.
Jeanette C. replied:
Dr Rankin has been our dr for 17 years, we have been very happy with him, he has been fantastic with my son with type 1 diabetes, he is on holidays this week

Kerry C. replied:
Our family has 28 years with Dr Rankin . All good.
Jess A. replied:
Dr Campbell has now taken over Dr Challenders old clinic at Tahmoor. He's really good and also has a practice at The Oaks.

Kirsty C. replied:
Yes recommend Kayte Barnard as a naturopath and she's locally here in Bargo:)
Paula E. replied:
Dr Rankin gave my daughter stitches with glass still in her leg that a few weeks later reopened the wound and came back out causing her so much pain. I won't go there again. Admittedly though, my daughter was screaming the surgery down when it was time to get the stitches. Hospital asked why it wasn't xrayed before stitched. Could be a common mistake, but I'm not taking the chance again. This is what came out of my then 4 yr olds leg
Michelle D. replied:
Dr Rankin is the ONLY Dr I will take my kids to
Sandra M. replied:
Kayte Barnard is a naturopath
Ken W. replied:
