Even if you aren't knowledgeable about cars, Auto Zone will run a test on your check engine light at no cost. They will give you a printout of the codes of your check engine light and the parts needed to fix the problem. Having this information will save you time by calling these different mechanics and getting estimates, rather than spending all day driving to each shop.
