Sounds like a front coil spring broken,usually replace in pairs , I worked at F J Arkell The garage Larkhall 01225 316812 ,not vat registered so it will be cheaper, I worked there for 8 years so know you won't get ripped off.

I got my leg up so to speak from www.remit.co.uk had an online apptitude test at city college and litterally within a month had a work placement with yamaha xD did a 3 year apprenticship with a final year advanced appenticship including fast fit to give me the stuff i needed to work in a bsb and r6 cup pit crew
