If you are planning on moving anytime soon, go with an air conditioning unit instead of the heat pump. We were looking into it and the company said it takes 10 years of the savings on gas vs electricity to make up for the difference in cost. We sell houses every 3 ish years so it wasn't worth it to us. We used Advanced Air Systems for the installation at both of our houses and have been very happy with their work. Whatever way you choose, it is a great choice. Worth not suffering through the summer heat.

we used Clark County Mechanical. The guys there used to work for PUD before they shut that program down. They are very honest and ethical and will help you get all the rebates and credits that are available for energy efficient systems.

I went with Area Heating and AC. Got a trane heat pump installed 2 years ago. My gas use has gone way down and my electricity use is about the same. I highly recommend it.

If you go to Clark Public Utilities website they offer rebates if you go with one of their recommended contractors. We went with Area Heating and Cooling and was very satisfied. They did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves. Area Heating had rebates at the time too so I saved a lot of money.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but www.clarkcountymechanical.com put in a ductless heating system for my family more than a year ago and we love it. They were wonderful to work with and even came out to look at it when it wasn't working as well as it should after 6 months. Turns out it was user error, we had forgotten to clean the filter. They cleaned it for us and didn't charge us a penny for coming out! The city gives a rebate on the system as well, which they will get for you so you don't have to mess with it.

Yes, I used Clark County Mechanical as well and got a rebate through CPU. We have an older two story home and we needed three units with the way our house was laid out. It heats and cools perfectly and our electric bill is really inexpensive.
