I think more or less, every restaurant closes for a rest sometime in the winter. However, here's the ones on the south end I know and enjoy: Tuckers, Gables (until December, I think) Fred's Diner (takes a Fla. trip in Jan or Feb) Bagel Shack, California Grille, Kubels Too, Pinzimineo, The Arlington, Bisque. Apologies to anyone I forgot. Don't know about Surf Taco yet (delicious) and I think Raimondo's stays open most of the winter, but not sure.

Not to far off the island, on 9 S (coming from the Island), Octupus Garden open all ur round and my favorite!

Primo Amore on Francis Lewis. They have fixed price menus which are great for parties!
