I would like some opinions on a great pediatrician for my 2 year old son. We just moved here and I need to switch his doctor
Samantha N. replied:
Dr. Almouie in calallen (361) 767-9963. My husband and I love that they have a sick waiting area and well waiting area
Clarisa M. replied:
Dr. Miranda has a rude staff and long waits. Id rather drive then have my son there. Dr. Miranda himself was good with my son. I just couldnt stand waiting 30 plus minutes sometimes more

Dr. Anne Vo in Victoria is really good

Dr.Arquisola in Victoria (361) 574-1880. He is worth the drive and is so patient and understanding with kids and babies. The nursing staff is great too.

Check Corpus Christi or San Antonio.

I would never take my daughter to any of the doctors in Beeville. Yes Dr Larakers is a good doctor but he isn't a pediatrician and it takes forever to get appointments at that office... Dr. Almouie in Calallen is awesome! And it's not that far of a drive. Only about 50 minutes.
Michelle E. replied:
Dr Almouie
Kayla M. replied:
Corpus Christi has the best! There thru the Driscoll children hospital. I tried Dr miranda outta beeville and abolutly hated him in my opinion he was the worst dr I've ever met.
Who does everyone use for a pediatrician in this area?
Jen G. replied:
I have Dr Hassan and he's great. I don't recommend Dr Miranda, he's a rude man.
Jennifer A. replied:
I have Dr. Miranda. he is a great doctor, at the doctor appointment i actually see the doctor. he is very explanitory, and if you need to be seen ASAP its always possible! i've changed my sons dr awhile back & I'm glad I did, dr. miranda is awesome' so glad to have a doctor like him. he is honest & straight to the point! the kind of doctor i like and he always recommends to see ur child until they are better

Dr.Davis is really good but she is in corpus just past Driscoll hospital.I have taken my kids to her for years and she is open late.Blue Sky is the name of clinic
Dr Miranda is really good, i've tried out of town docs but they're not as good as him, you do have to have an appt the only bad thing is they kinda take a while
Francesca O. replied:
Dr. Miranda very thorough.
Hailey B. replied:
Dr Larakers and Dr Dunn at Beeville family practice. All 3 of my children see them and they are great! I prefer Dr Dunn over Dr Larakers thou (personality wise) but they are both great doctors. 3613589912

Careville Pediatrics. Dr. Iffy is awesome. Call you'll get seen the same day and he won't let you leave without answering all your questions and concerns.

Yes Careville Pediatrics. Love it there. Even as a walk in I was in and out within a hour!
Pediatrician?
$123 - 78102
My baby is already with Miranda, but I don't care much for the staff, the wait or just pretty much the entire place.
Can anyone recommend...
Melissa F. replied:
I like Dr. Calica. He's across from Subway. They have always been patient and nice to us. I have 3 small kids and my twin sister left behind 3 kids that we are raising so we make all their appointments together. He's awesome!!
Do any Beeville people know my thing about pediatrician Christian Okpalo? I am thinking about changing my insurance plan and this is one of the peds on it. Any input...
Jill C. replied:
Jennifer it is fairly inconvenient, but I drive to Corpus for ABC Pediatrics. Now that the kids only need well once a year and don't get sick often it is not bad at all and VERY WORTH IT!! All their doctors as amazing.
Melanie S. replied:
We were on vacation once and ended up in the hospital for a week after one of my kiddos had a febrile seizure. Dr. Opkalo treated my son and it was a truly awful experience. Maybe an isolated incident, but he was definitely not my fav.
Amanda H. replied:
I love Almouie Pediatrics (in Portland) they do have a few practitioners along with Almouie but they are great. The staff and environment is also good. Been going there for 17 years and no complaints. Brian N Shannon Haggard-Koenig takes the kids there as well.
