Awesome courtyard. It's in a decent Hu Tong, plenty of bars and locals. Ended up eating pigs trotters on the street with one of the residents the day before a wall trek
Check if they're still running odd trips, there's one they used to run at a fairly derelict section which has a zipline at the end of it to get down. Flying monkey I think...or flying squirrel? Either way, avoid 'Badaling' unless you like standing nose to arse with about 100,000 tourists
If you want to get strangers out for a laugh at night, go to the Hua Men night market to eat some scorpions, bugs, spiders etc. It's for tourists, but good fun after a few beers
Dong Hua Men: 东华门夜市
Take heed of 'ghost street' and 'Sanlitun', overpriced and packed with arseholes. Same goes for the famous duck restaurants.
Anyone can recommend lodging in hong kong from tonight until wednesday? Preferably not too expensive as I'm not here of my choice...

Bishop Lei International hotel on Robinson Rd is good. It's near Central near the mid level escalators and very reasonably priced. I've stayed there a couple of times. Rooms are a bit small but nice and clean.
