That wouldn't necessarily be a head gasket leak .....I think a compression check should be done for sure that will give you a way better outlook on weither you actually have a blown head gasket or just a leaking intake manifold gasket .... .. difference is from 300 -1200 dollars really ......any good mechanic will do a compression check next for ya

2006 Subaru Outback, pretty sure it needs a new head gasket. My brother is a mechanic and diagnosed it but doesn't have the equipment to go such a big job. Trying to see if I can find a better price than what his shop quoted.

Kelly Foust, at D & W Auto repair on Mile Hill, next to Napa. He's the best. He's fair and quick and just a real nice guy. He and his men have worked on all of our cars and he's very fair and honest.
