hi i am coming to visit Belgrade for a week to do a course and would love to know where is good to eat, visit, walk around? Any little markets, antiques, sights that...

Hi Natasha! It's a lovely time of year to be coming. You are based nice and centrally, so I'd start with a walk up along the pedestrian zone (Kneza Mihaila), stopping for a coffee and soaking up the atmosphere, along to Kalemegdan (the fortress), and then maybe down to the confluence of where the Sava and Danube rivers meet. That's how I always start with visitors. If you time it well, a drink sitting on the Sava river and watching the sun go down from the cafes at Beton Hala is also nice, but the view is even better, and free, up at the fortress. Zemun, (on the other side of the Danube), is also great for a riverside stroll, lunch/dinner, coffee... and if you like cycling/walking, you can hire a bike at Ada Ciganlija (a natural lake, 10 mins from the city) and do the loop track there - it's really pretty at the moment. Even just a walk around Dorcol, the suburb you are staying in, is interesting!
