If you have a harbor freight near you they have a polishing disc set for like $15. It has a 40,80, 220, 400,600. They are basically just angle grinder discs of compressed buffing compound I think. I have the set and I’ve used it for this exact thing.. put a polish on an axe head. Although I only went to about 400 or 600 so not quite mirror polish. It worked great! order online from grizzly.com get a buffing wheel and cutting rouge ... Better yet and slightly safer, use a 6” buffing wheel, a wire wheel for the rust, swap the wheel to a 6” buffing wheel use liberal amounts of rouge. Then use the grinding wheel for the finished edge. (Just don’t overheat the blade and lose its temper)
