ISO: Asking for recommendations for a good family physician and OB/GYN. Just moved to the area and need to find new doctors, not sure where to start. Thanks!!
Holly F. replied:
Dr. John Murphy at Bend OBGYN is by far the best!! He's amazing with the moms, husbands, babies and has amazing bed side manor. He genuinely cares about his patients and their over all health and well being.
Toni G. replied:
I work at the hospital, not in OB, but Dr. Murphy and Dr. Clark are WONDERFUL.....I would highly recommend either of them. Dr. Weeks has retired. For a Dentist, Dr. ANDY TIMM..........he's AMAZING.
Toni G. replied:
For a general Dr., I would recommend Dr. Mary (Jamie) McAllister, she is a D.O., and treats the whole person, she is in her own practice.
Kenzi K. replied:
I had Dr. Weeks, he was amazing and very informative during my pregnancy.
Kristin D. replied:
My family Dr is Dr. Davey at the westside BMC. She's amazing and my OBGYN is Dr. Ackerman at East Cascades Women's Clinic.:)

Try COPA for pediatricians. Dr. Guttemann is amazing, you can't go wrong with the OB/GYNs at East Cascade Womens Group. Also, Dr. James Weeks is a family practice doctor. I've heard great things about him.

Dr Burket541-322-9396 family physician and OB/GYN, delivered my last 2 and has been our primary for 12 years now.
Melissa-Ezra B. replied:
Dr. Murphy is only excepting high risk pregnancies right now. Dr. Hannah who works with Murphy is pretty awesome to she's a midwife. Weeks or Burket would be a good choice to.
Bend peeps: I need to find a primary care physician. Anyone have a favorite they'd like to recommend?
Jen F. replied:
We go to Dr Rode at West Bend Family Medicine. Easy going, easy to talk to. But my kids are a LOT older so we don't go in very often.
Shannon H. replied:
Dr Morgan at High Lakes. She also sees kids as well.
Angela R. replied:
What kind of doc do you like? I looooooove Dr. Uri at High Lakes because she is very into nutrition and exercise as preventative care vs let me just write you a prescription.
Molly C. replied:
My husband loves Dr. Boggess
Gemma B. replied:

Dr Paul Johnson. He has been my Doc for 18 years. Good man.
my son's doctor. Justin got roseola on Thanksgiving day one year when he was just a baby. Dr. Moody met me at his ofc. and I told him how bad I felt dragging him away on TG day. He told me, it's the ones who don't call that I worry about. He knew just what to say to put me at ease, and took good care of my baby. Great doc.
Coleena M. replied:
Dr. Moody came to our home my mother and i were so sick so he did a home visit. He also worked with my grandma Helen Morgan at St. Charles hosp. in labor and delivery for over thirty five years. We were so lucky to have such wonderful care from a great Dr.
Melissa S. replied:
I loved Dr. Moody! I remember him making house calls too.
Charlotte G. replied:
Curt Boulet for dentistry; Dr. Moody was our pediatrician. He always went beyond what was expected. I remember him coming to the house in the middle of the night when my sister had colic. He didn't smile much, and scared me a little, til some friends and I visited the Catholic Church once? He was sitting behind us, grinning ear to ear--then laughed endlessly while we messed up the liturgy.:o) I do miss him.
Kathy D. replied:
I did. Til I was 10. Then Dr. Robinson. Dr. Timm was my dentist.
Deanna S. replied:
Dr. Moody, Mackey and McCusker
Roy T. replied:
No who's Dr. Moody? I had doctor Davies and I still see him now and then when he comes in to get gas. I wish Davies was still my doctor and not retired.
Twilene H. replied:
I had Dr. Macusker, Dr Moody's partner. Loved him! He made house calls when we lived in the country, just 5 miles from downtown Bend! Those were the Days!!!
Dan D. replied:
Dr. Rademacher, Dr Moody, and Dr Robinson.
Kelly C. replied:
Dr. Macusker delivered me, a six week premie, but Dr. Moody was the one who discovered I had a milk allergy. Being very inconsolable, he gave me a soy milk bottle, and I drank it and promptly fell asleep. My mom LOVED Dr. Moody. I saw him into my teen years.
Laurie W. replied:
I loved Dr. Moody! I still remember the groovy '70's decor of his office/waiting room! I point out his office to my husband and daughter every time we drive past it.:)
Can anyone recommend a good Naturopath or conventional doctor here in Bend, who also considers natural medicine in their practice?
Don G. replied:
Dr Payson Flattery from Center for Integrated Medicine in Redmond is very good. I believe he has an office in Bend also.
Layla F. replied:
Dr. Emma Baker, she has Michelle Jackson cover her when she's on vacation. I've worked with Emma since 2010 - of all the naturopaths I've worked with in the past 20 years, she's top notch!
