I need a good recommendation of a barber/hairdresser who does a GOOD job cutting little boys hair? I am tired of paying $20 to have my boys hair butchered. Thanks!

Jessica Rose Belice for future reference for your Mom, especially if she will be wanting to travel to other areas that don't know her.....I would tell her to have the certification to show as well. I was just reading an article the other day from a judge stating how people are able to buy a service dog vest off the internet so they can take their pets anywhere they want. Most people would never to think to ask to see a certification because normal people like us have a kind heart . Again, how sad that people have to ruin a good thing for people who truly need a service animal.

We've run across this situation at the library, Gladys. Service dogs always have to be allowed in, and we welcome them! No business may refuse entrance to a service animal, and the ONLY questions they are allowed to ask if they are concerned is, "Is that a service animal?" and "What task is it trained to perform?" (though we just assume that if a person has a service dog, it's not our place to ask what it's for...and we enjoy having furry visitors anyway!):) But we've run into a phenomenon lately where people are buying certification and vests from businesses online, and calling their pets "service dogs" so they can bring them along. And there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. The only actual recourse a business has is that they can ask a person with a disruptive animal to leave. It is not illegal, at the moment, to misrepresent a pet as a service animal, though because of the number of people who are doing that, and making life difficult for those with actual trained service animals, there is talk of putting more regulation on what is considered a service animal, and fining people who misrepresent their pets as service animals. A certified service dog will have extensive (generally 12-18 months) training, and then they will perform a specific task to help its handler (seeing eye dog, seizure detection, hearing assistance, performing simple tasks for those with limited mobility.) The ADA provides certification and a vest for trained service animals (though neither is actually required at the moment.) Unfortunately, the organizations listed below (and others) will also provide "certification" and vests to untrained animals for anyone who pays a fee, but they are NOT certified service animals. They are pets with vests and certificates (but you still have to let them in if they identify them as such, and if asked, identify what service the animal provides.) (this info comes from the ADA Vets website) SARA (Service Animal Registry of America) USARplus (United Service Animal Registry) * Goldstar German Shepherds SDA (Service Dogs America) Registered Service Dog SDCA (Service Dog Certification of America, aka Certify My Dog) NSAR (National Service Animal Registry) American Service Dogs Service Dog ID Certified Service Dog National Association of Service Dogs Service Dog Tags, aka emotionalsupportanimals dot org ** Free My Paws CRTASA (Canadian Registry of Therapy Animals and Service Animals) USSDR (United States Service Dog Registry) - registration is free, but they also sell official looking certificates and ID emosdogtags ***
