I️ think you just described Goodfellows in Royal Oak. I️ mean the only thing that doesn’t fit is that they take cash... but that’s what an old shop does. Make a trip to the ATM! Good luck.

Union in Ferndale. Some girly girls, but I have had a former Marine and a woman with a barber license who are both really good. You also get a beer if you want.

While my favorite place is the [Chop Shop](http://berkleychopshop.com/) in Berkley, it's typically about $25, they don't take credit - so that's probably not going to work for you, but I love the punk-rock-meets-muscle-cars-in-a-grimey-garage theme the place has going on. You're probably going to have more appreciation for [Sands](https://www.sandsbarbershop.com/) in Royal Oak, which is pretty much as old school and traditional of a barber experience as I've ever had. Basically just sit down, say what you want, pay, leave. I've only had 2 haircuts there myself (both walkins), but I liked them both and if I recall correctly they were in the $15+tip range

Not sure the type of haircuts you get, but if you get fades/tapers/beard lineups I would suggest a plethora of shops in Sterling Heights.

Trim in Clawson is right on 14 and Main. Great full service barbershop.

Do the Great Clips right on 9 mile in Hazel Park - it's about 1/3 mile east of 75. Easy on/easy off and $12.
