HELP. I have a deadbeat client who broke our contract and is refusing to pay 50% of the fees. I need a German contract attorney who speaks English. Please send referrals...
Pamela S. replied:
I am so sorry to hear that Marcy! I hope you can get your money somehow. I don't know this guy personally but I did some research and he does contract, copyright and media law, is in your neighborhood and speaks English: http://www.berndorff.de/en/

Looking for help finding a Jewish lawyer I’m not sure where else to post this and I apologize.
How would I go about finding a Jewish immigration attorney in Germany?
mrz_ replied:
Why is his Jewishness important?

Jan_Hus replied:
I suppose you don't need a Jew who's a lawyer but a lawyer who specialises in immigration law for Jews who lost their citizenship between 1933 and 1945?
queueseven replied:
If google doesn't help you, you could just ask a Jewish community, like the [one in Berlin](http://www.jg-berlin.org/en.html). Maybe they can help you....
Johanneskodo replied:
[Den](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGkLjfPWqeI) hier kann ich nur empfehlen.
Daabevuggler replied:
Look for a lawyer who speaks hebrew, they're usually jewish and either german, israelian or persian. Many lawyers listen the languages they speak on their website, so this should be a simple google search.
GabanzoBean replied:
You could try to get in contact with the *[Jewish Community of Berlin](http://www.jg-berlin.org/en/institutions/integration.html)*. They do seem to have an *integration office* and might be able to help.

Does anyone in Berlin knows a lawyer that could help me with an abusive landlord? I didn't know that renovation means "build everything new".
Ciarán W. replied:
We go to the Mieterverein when we have problems (http://www.berliner-mieterverein.de/), but I think this might just be for private renter (you are a commercial renter), and you need to be a member, but they could perhaps point you to the correct body/lawyer. Depends I guess if you are looking for a bit of advice, or you want to hire a paying lawyer.
Looking for an English speaking lawyer Hi Berlin people. I am looking for an English speaking lawyer, preferably one who is happy to work with property law and disputes....
s_berliner replied:
Look for "Fachanwalt für Miet- und Wohnungseigentumsrecht". This the the term for a lawyer, who have certified specialized in real estate law.
I recommend Dirk Zimmerman. I just used him for a visa related issue. _____________________________ Zimmermann Kaliner Rechtsanwälte Dirk Zimmermann Rechtsanwalt Oranienburger Str. 23 10178 Berlin tel: +49 (0)30 284444-90 fax: +49 (0)30 284444-91 mail: dz@zimmermannkaliner.de
