I don't really agree, but there's a linguist who claims that in Israel we actually speak Israeli - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghil'ad_Zuckermann#Historical_linguistics_.E2.80.93_characterization_of_Israeli_Hebrew (I don't think your spammers are aware of this theory, though)

Interlingua actually exists: "Interlingua (/ɪntərˈlɪŋɡwə/; ISO 639 language codes ia, ina) is an international auxiliary language (IAL), a modern version of Latin, developed between 1937 and 1951 by the International Auxiliary Language Association (IALA)." Machine translation experts should know better than to take on a translator in a battle of wits.
Rose N. replied:
Hell, I feel threatened by nothing at all right now. I got it cushy here. I just don't like lies. And machine translation is a technology that is founded on lies, omitted truths, exaggeration and censorship. Why don't you ask Menno Mafait why his proposals to certain events always get ignored? Because he's a technologist who takes a perfectionist, realistic approach to MT that happens to be translator-friendly. His research works in a different way, and shows why current MT will never progress much further than where it is today. (Menno Mafait: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mennomafait)

Renato Beninatto tweeted today that Moravia pays around 0.02 cents for post-editing jobs. How can it be a joy for some people? MT is good if you use it for your OWN benefit only (that is, just for you, not for third parties). That's the anti-MT attitude most of us present here.
