Nicole Webber regardless of who you choose, make sure you do your homework. Coming from a daycare owner and pet professional for years, the facility you choose should be chosen carefully. A handful of questions to ask are: -What is the dog to human ratio? If more than 10 to 1, this is not safe and dogs cannot be properly monitored. -What vaccinations do they require? -What is their fire policy? -Will they use any training methods on your dog - if so, are they utilizing positive reinforcement or aversive (punishment) based techniques? Ask them to outline all disciplinary actions used. -Do they have a transparent facility? Photos, videos, etc. -How is the facility disinfected? How often? -Are they licensed and insured? -Which pet professional associations are they members of and what are their ethics codes?

Notre Dame is great (my alma mater) but it's like 3 hours a day. Doesn't work for working families. For that time it's very expensive. I would love to send my kids there but who would pick up my kids and take care of them for the remainder of the day?

I suggest a behaviorist and not a trainer. You want someone who understands the root of the behavior, rather than someone who just tries to train them out of it. Rod Sutcliffe of Lynn is excellent. http://www.unclerodsdogs.com/
