Hi. We're getting married at moxhull hall on 30th December- really indecisive about whether to have a band or a DJ. Any advise and any recommendations for either? Thanks...
Aimee H. replied:
Hi I have experienced both and they were both amazing. For my wedding I wanted my dance floor full all night and Dave Clarke was amazing DJ for the party atmosphere xxx
Mick R. replied:
A band more often than not will have a set play list of what they know & will stick to it for the most part. Typically 2 1 hours sets so you will need to decide what will be happening in their down time could be as much as 2 hours over a night, although some bands have many more songs and will play longer sets. A DJ has the flexability to change music styles instantly. Then of course the cost issue. Moxhull hall is a lovely setting and i have played there many times. I have all the PL Ins & PAT certs needed. if you would like a quote please contact me. www.facebook.com/micksmobilediscos

Hi everyone I don't get married until April 2016, but I am wanting to book my wedding entertainment and was wondering if anyone could tell me the timings of when the dj...
Christopher L. replied:
Hi Kirsty, it can vary quite a lot so it's best to check with Moxhull Hall....they are the experts and can advise you. But here's a very vague idea of some "typical" wedding timings: Ceremony at 1.00 pm, Drinks Reception at 2.00 pm, Wedding Breakfast (the meal) at 4.00 pm, Evening Reception at 7.00 pm. Cutting of the cake can often take place during the meal (maybe after the main course) with the speeches after the dessert (or before the meal if groom is nervous and wants to get them out the way)! Happy planning and please feel free to visit my website if you're interested in live music for your wedding: www.romantic-piano.co.uk
