You don't need a solicitor you can do it yourself if you want to save cash. I've just done power of attorney for banks etc and also living power of attorney to cover health requirements. You can download forms and guidelines https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/make-a-lasting-power-of-attorney. Hope this helps xx
