Can anyone recommend a good men's barber? I haven't had a haircut since September (when my Mom cut it for me). I get my second Covid shot in a few weeks, and was hoping...

Hot Rods downtown barbershop. There’s a link in the about section of their Facebook. I would recommend using Rod

Bloomington Barbershop on 3 rd a bit east of College Mall. Jeff's terrific, been going there for years now.

I have a mohawk so I need trimming more often than styling. I go back and forth between the Barbour shop on the back side of Domino's and hot rods. The first place gets the lines of my mohawk slick as fuck and does great no guard short as possible trimming but I don't ever have them cut the long part of my hair. Rod knows his shit but is expensive, the other guy at his shop is shit.

Bent (120 college ave) is a great place for a men's haircut. Reeve, in particular, is fantastic, though he gets booked up pretty fast.

Ask for Frank at Bill's Barber. Warning: He's got an old school personality, and could care less about covid. But does a damn good cut and straight razer
Chief_SquattingBear replied:
If you can make your way to Ellettsville, Steve's barbershop takes appointments through Facebook and you can get lined-up pretty well by Dustin. It's $16. I've been getting bald fades, drop fades, and beard trims for around 4 years now from him.

The Ritz is great----it's right next to Hartzell's Ice Cream, just off Kirkwood.

Ally Barber on East Second Street. Across from World Market. She is great (I’ve been to all the barbers on this list and believe she is top tier), kind, and takes appointments.

I always went to hot rods downtown. Looks like right now it’s just by appointment. If you go to his Facebook page it has the link and everything.

The Barber at BMG - fantastic barber and it’s fun watching the planes come in at the airport.

Reeve at Bent. Really anyone at Bent is great if Reeve is unavailable though. They did a beard trim for me a few weeks ago. (Im fully vaccinated) and they were doing about the best a barber shop reasonably can for covid protocols
Can anyone recommend a barber in town? Preferably one who will use a straight razor past the neckline.
CM S. replied:
I work at Fiesta Salon on West 3 rd at 37 where K-Mart is. 12 dollar reddit special for you. Ask for me. You can just put down "C" for the request. I can't do razor on the face, but I can take your neckline down slick.
Best place to get a hair cut in/around IU Bloomington? Whats a good barber shop that will give a quality cut, with prices that wont completely break the bank? Also dose...

The Ritz (ask for Trevor if he's available) or V's. I've gone to both and have always been happy with it

Bent is fairly expensive $30-35 but is the best place to go if you're looking for a more stylish cut, rather than "2 on the sides with a little length on top." Most other places I've gone to have been fairly basic cuts that knew less than me when it comes to modern styles, which really shouldn't be a thing considering they do it for a living.

Bloomington Barber Shop, out on 3 rd east of College Mall. Ask for Jeff. It's his place. Good cuts, good conversation (especially if you like games), very laid back, not expensive.

I love the barber shop right next to Bears on 3 rd street. Usually not much of a wait. I think $15 for the haircut. They tell you to go home and wash it and make sure you like it otherwise they'll fix it for you. Fred is my man.

If you're a guy I'd recommend Roberto at Regis in the College Mall. He's a bit pricey though, around $30 after tip.
