Like u/kultakala said, Men's Warehouse at the mall is a good choice for a not-so-expensive option. I'd also suggest checking out Bloomington Stitchery. They do suit tailoring services and they're really good. They're open Tuesday-Saturday. It's located on 3 rd St. next to Rush Hour station so it's close to campus too (idk if that's important to you or not). https://www.bloomingtonstitchery.com/

Are you looking for a bespoke suit, or just someone who can do alterations on an existing suit? I believe they've opened a Men's Wearhouse at College Mall, and they have pretty good deals on suits, as well as alterations.

Men's Wearhouse will get you set up. A lot of times they'll have solid deals if you buy a couple suits, or a suit with accessories. A lot of the time they'll do a free couple rounds of initial tailoring to fit the suit to you.
A completely custom suit is going to cost you mad skrilla. Better just to shop for something that is close and tailor, paying attention to cuffs and how the lapel lays (you don't want it to bunch, as that is the best indicator of a cheap or ill-fitting suit).
That said, if you're a student, I would dissuade you from going all out. I'm guessing that you're going to primarily being wearing the suit at job interviews, along with the odd wedding or other event that comes up at this stage of your life. Don 't worry- everybody who you interview with at this stage will understand that you are a student, and they're not going to judge you adversely because your suit isn't $2000.
Edited for after-thought: Go for something fairly neutral and versatile. I'd recommend charcoal grey or sharkskin navy blue. The latter especially you can match with khakis or even jeans and look good in a number of settings with a jacket that fits you.
Check out MW on a clearance sale and you'll be fine for what you need.

If you are looking for a place that will sell you a suit and alter it a bit to fit, then there are several. If you have a pre-existing *nice* suit (a la Golden Fleece, Armani, etc.) that you need work done on, there isn't one. Gotta go to Indy for that kind of work.

The Tailored Fit by Upland. It's actually west of Upland in the old Bender Lumber building. They've been around forever, do amazing work, and will make your suit look modern. Caveat: they aren't cheap. BUT, you won't look cheap after they alter your off-the-rack suit. Also they make bespoke (custom) suits that aren't much more than what you'd pay at Mens Wearhouse or other ready-to-wear purveyors of men's suiting.

Bloomington Stitchery hands down. They are super busy because their work is always top notch, so plan to wait a few weeks to get clothes back. Worth it, though.
