I went to [Brass Knuckle Tattoos](http://www.brassknuckletattoos.com) in Uptown. I would highly recommend them and my artist [Shawn](http://www.brassknuckletattoos.com/shawn.html). It was my first (and currently only) tattoo and he was super patient when it came to me nitpicking the design I gave him. I told him that I wanted the spacing changed and he went and redrew it, I told him that I wanted it lower on my back (from the transfer paper he put on there) and he cleaned it up and redrew it, and the entire time he was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Overall great experience and I have been hoping to go back and get a second one.

I've been to Northeast tattoo, Seawolf, and Jackalope. I think I liked Jackalope the most because the staff were so kind and welcoming (it was a much bigger tattoo than my first one and I was nervous). Plus they had a grill out back and offered me a hot dog during a break so I could get some energy back in me! Right now it's staffed exclusively by women, and they're so cool. Mo was my artist.

My recommendation is [The Holy Mackerel](http://theholymackerel.com/) off West 7 th in St Paul!

Make sure you check out the shop's minimum fee. I've seen some places charge upwards of $150 _minimum_, regardless of what work you're getting done.

My mom, her friends, and I all go to Wing Nut in Anoka. Not sure if that's too "far" out of the cities, in your opinion. My mom got some nice line work and writing, I got a rose, my sister got a music notes, a friend gets dogs. They have 5(?) artists, so lots of variety and I don't remember it being ridiculously expensive. I think mine was $150 and its full color, size of a baseball-ish
Fellow Minnesotans, I'm looking for a good place to get a tattoo around the Twin Cities area! I'm looking for a decently priced place with quality tattoos, any...

check /r/tattoos and search bar "minneapolis" or "minnesota" it will bring up posts from people who have had their tattoos done or are looking at shops. Also- google tattoo shops in their area and check out their portfolios. It'll give you an idea of what their style is. They could be a great artist, but it may not match the style you want yours in and it could be a problem

I had one done at Aloha Monkey in......Burnsville maybe? Very happy with the work that was done and they were very clean and professional. There are different artists at these shops who specialize in different styles and techniques.

Rose of No Man's Land in Woodbury hosts my artist, Marx. He's awesome. I have also seen great work from Beloved Studios and The Holy Mackerel in St. Paul.

I got a tattoo over at Captive Elements in Blaine. The only downside on them is that I had to get a touch-up done due to some missed spots when they did it. The bright side is that I got one on my right shoulder blade done for $80. I'd check them out but as I said before if you want to do them, you may need to head in again for a touch up. Very friendly folks and most of all, very clean!!!!

Steady Tattoo is a pretty good place. It's right by the Minneapolis campus of the U. A couple people I know have gotten tattoos done there and they're really high quality.

Olde Town in St. Cloud is solid.

I would suggest Leviticus.

Identity Tattoo on the edge of Maple Grove, the owner, Lucky, super awesome guy. All the artists there are pretty good. For example, Ben, did Captain Spaulding (House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects) on my friend and it turned out amazing!! Even won an award at a recent Mpls tattoo show.

Saint Sebrina's is probably one of the more well known tattoo shops in the cities. Little pricey but great quality from what I hear. Leviticus tattoo also has a good name and a nice clean shop.

I recommend [Evolution Tattoo](http://www.evolutiontattoomn.com/) in Bloomington. Priced a bit higher than some other shops in the Twin Cities, but very worth it. I hired Reime, and she does amazing work. I've had tattoos done in four different shops in Minnesota, and this place is my favorite. The building is [right on a little lake](http://goo.gl/maps/6O16 o), there's plenty of parking, the interior is squeaky clean, professional, and full of art. Some extra advice: Don't skimp on a tattoo, in money or time, because you get what you pay for. Take the time to find an artist that 'gets' you, is interested in you, someone who you find interesting.
Okay I'm looking for a tattoo artist that wpuld come to my bday party at crystal lake on July 19 do I know anybody that will or does anyone know someone ??

Think long and hard about where and what you want . Remember you will have it for the rest of your life so make sure it is something you will never regret, or be ashamed of. but rather something you are proud of and want to show off. Go see my friend Carl at Forever Yours Tattoo's on Main Street in Anoka - He'll help you out tell him I sent you. love you and know I am very proud of how you have handled this situation (calm, cool, and head on) you are very brave and keep in mind that your Grandmother would also be very proud of you.
