Electric Tattoo in Asbury has 5 or 6 artists on staff and all are really good. I'm partial to Sheila Marcello since she's done a few pieces for me, but everyone I've seen there does really good work.

If you're ok with the drive, check out Patrick Simmons (@prick.simmons on IG) at The Quillian in Allentown.

I have a black work and line work, and honestly I’d look into artist in nyc. Not that nj doesn’t have good artist but nyc you have really amazing artist. I’d head over to r/tattoos and search New Jersey, or Brooklyn or wherever. Artist will retouch their photos of their work. It’s not always a bad thing but they can definitely make their work look better than what they can do. At least on Reddit the photos are mostly from clients and you don’t have that distortion of quality.
Looking for good tattoo artists and/or tattoo shops in the central jersey area.

All the artists at Rabbits Den Tattoo Parlor in Milltown, NJ are awesome and each have unique styles. I have two pieces from Nelson, one of which is a realistic Tiger portrait (in my profile if you look).

I've only seen great things come out of Rabbits Den, but I go to Revolver Tattoo in New Brunswick.
