Prior to my allergy testing/diagnosis I used Mary Kay for years. Loved no clumps and no smear/smudge. Since my allergy I have very few choices and use physicians formula. Like it but it doesn't last very long because it is natural with no preservatives, etc.

I like Mary Kay and Body Shop. Body Shop is a good excuse to go to Seattle and maybe see Tazlyn!
Has anyone used the E.L.F skincare line (specifically the 4$ cleanser)? I’m looking to replace my vanicream cleanser with something else that is affordable, simple and...

I’ve found their makeup hit and miss, their brushes are great, and I’ve liked all the skincare I’ve tried.

I just bought the day moisturizer because I was wondering the same. Samesies!! For cleanser I have to say my holy grail is skin laundry gentle facial foaming wash. It’s for sensitive skin. I wear a ton of makeup and I can wash with it, have all my makeup gone, my skin clean, and feel moisturized too somehow. I think it’s amazing. It’s $20 but you only need a tiny bit because it lathers up so well and one bottle lasts me like... 6-9 months? Well worth it. You can get it on ulta.com but they don’t have it in some stores.

I haven't used any of the ELF skincare, but I use and love the Ceramedx cleanser (and ultra moisturizing cream.)

I have loved everything I’ve tried from elf! I used a hydrating cleanser which I ADORED. It was super mild in scent and easy on my sensitive skin but never left me dry. I highly recommend the brand! If you want to see reviews on their skincare, a lot of vegan/CF youtubers review their products on YouTube!

Yes, I love their skincare line. I have the bounce back jelly cleanser and really like it, and also use their face oils, day cream and night cream daily. I have one spf15 kinda-glittery lotion I use sometimes too, although I usually need more than spf15. Honestly the night cream I find comparable to like an $80 bottle of L’Occitane night cream I once tried and loved. I would give it a go. I think their skincare is better than their makeup tbh. (I have tried a bunch of their makeup too but the only thing I would really keep buying from them is their red matte lipstick, blush and liquid highlighter)

I have been using the Pacifica Kale cleanser and it has quickly become HG. I’ve used at least a hundred cleansers (wow I wish this was a joke) and this is it for me.
So what I want in a cleanser may differ from you, and in that case this may not be what you’re looking for. I wanted something that I could use one time (no double cleanse, which I previously did for 5 years so far) that would remove bb cream, non waterproof mascara, and sunscreen. I wanted it to be vegan and cruelty free. I wanted it to be affordable and easily available for repurchase when I run out. I wanted it to be free of any medications that could interfere with the rest of my skincare routine (SA, BP, AHA).
I hesitated getting it for a while due to the inclusion of fragrance and Citric acid. However, because it’s a cleanser I am more forgiving when it comes to those ingredients because it is not on my face for very long.
What most people say they don’t like about this cleanser is that it’s too drying. That’s not really an issue for me because I literally moisturize directly after using it and I only use facial cleanser once a day at night. My skin type is normal and I currently use products that are drying. But this has been doable because I moisturize 2x daily.
Edit: typo

I want to like their products, love their name (not sure why) and I try their stuff every once in awhile. But like others have pointed out it seems really hit and miss.
