Fit4Less is really cheap. It's also small, so not many people in the gym. It's got free weights, cardio machines, and machines. Also massage chairs, and tanning. Definitely check it out! If you got any questions, just ask. I currently go to Fit4Less, so i can answer most questions. https://fit4 less.ca/

Brampton Recreation neighbourhood memberships are cheap and pretty good. Gives you access to most public facilities in the city, have to see which locations are around you. Some do have weight rooms, squash, fitness classes swimming etc.. http://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/recreational-activities/fitness/Pages/Welcome.aspx

What exactly are you looking for? Free weights? Machines? Cardio equipment? I go to GoodLife at Main and Vodden and they have a decent amount of all these. 5 power racks, plenty of barbells, Dumbbells up to 100 lbs, half the gym is cardio machines. Pretty good value for the money, around $30 a month. This gym has a good mix of body builders, power lifters and just regular gym folk. Cheaper than LA fitness when I priced them out around a year ago.

Goodlife@main/vodden and Cassie Campbell Rec Centre are the two best options Imo. Both were clean and had everything needed for me. Going to check out Fit4Less at Trinity common this week thou, $9 a month is hard to not at least look at.

I'm not sure what the average cost of a private gym membership is but perhaps take a look at what the city offers? Here's a website I got from a google search http://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/recreational-Activities/Fitness/Pages/Welcome.aspx
