Hi sam, welcome to Bratislava again:) First of all, all taxi drivers will try to rip you off, especially when they see you are a foreigner. Too bad. However, to prevent this, when calling a taxi, never take taxi that stands right in front of you. It's like 5 x more expensive. Instead call a taxi service. Try these numbers: +421216321 (Hello taxi), or Prima taxi - they speak English too +421216662/+421216661 and with prima taxi u can even usually arrange it on previously agreed time if necessary. Restaurants: depending on budget, let me recommend the best ones with really good service: Hviezdoslavovo namestie - restaurant Carnevalle, Sunday brunch is really tasty at Riverpark Kempinski hotel - SPA from 12-4 pm is included in the price of the Sunday brunch, Sky Bar at Hviezdoslavovo namestie (near US embassy) or wishing for steaks, try El Gaucho also at the same square. Nightlife: Venturska street famous club is TRAFO and Masquerade, great club at Hviezdoslavovo square at hotel River Inn is called The Club. For rock music go to Sedlarska street for Barrock. Btw, going from City Centre by taxi to Petrzalka usually costs 4E, to BA airport is max 8 euros. From train station to centre is 3.50/3.90 which is the minimum rate. All in all you should NOT pay more that 10 euros, if you call a taxi by phone in any case. If you have any questions, let me know! Enjoy your stay!

Hey Sam Zeleny Strom ( Green tree) pub has good Latino salsa parties so does a place called La Fiesta - although it is a bit away from the center. Good cafés are SHTOOR (all 3 of them) and are cheap. Restaurant Hrad (Castle) which is next to the, well Castle has an awesome view of the city at night especially. Enjoy the city.
