Hi Shelley, quirkycampers.co.uk hire campers out and seem to have wood burners in their campers, so its worth asking them who they use for insurance, let me know how you get on, many thanks Louise

I believe that if it's installed by a HETAS engineer then shouldn't be a problem. http://www.hetas.co.uk/about-hetas/

Got a reply from HETAS: "Hi Davie, We do not notify any vehicle to building control as it is outside of our competent scheme rules. Building control are the regulatory authority in our industry, and would not allow notification of a vehicle. Any installer fitting to a vehicle would need to follow the guidance in BS6762-2 ‘Services for leisure accommodation vehicles and transportable accommodation units – part 2: Code of practice for the installation of solid fuel fired heating in park homes and transportable accommodation units’. You would need to talk to your insurance company to ascertain if an installation fitted in accordance with this guidance would meet their needs.
