Training starts tomorrow. Need a new pair of running shoes. Any recommendations of a great brand/style that are like running on air. I need All the help I can get.

I think you should go to a running store they will look at your stride and fit you. Then go to efootwear.com and buy last years model it'll save you big bucks. I wear saucony guide 5 i started with this type 3 years ago and still love them. I think i had guide 4's a couple times now there's like guide 8's. Lol

You need to go to a running store to have a gait analysis. A great shoe for one person might cause horrible shin splints for another. I had mine done at Portland Running Co (I think). Completely worth the time and effort.

Brooks! I love them, Nike's bend in places they shouldn't. My physical therapist was not happy when she found out I was wearing nike to train for runs in. Then I got fit tested and I won't buy anything but Brooks now.:) There is a place that does fit testing in Vancouver called Fit Right NW its worth it to have them do the analysis to figure out what shoe is best for you:)
