I go to [hairskul](http://hairskul.hu/en/) and I did hear English talk a few times there. They have two 'star' hair stylists who are a bit hard to book and a lot more young guys. It's a trendy barbershop without all the uppity fussiness you'd see in the famous places like Zsidró's or the others. They regularly attend international competitions, my guy was just representing Hungary at a sort of "hairdressers' world championship". He's easygoing, cool and can make you a very stylish hairdo or a workplace casual one as well. His name is Péter Latrovszky and if you're a guy, your total will be around 3800Ft (plus tip) there.

A cheap franchise: http://www.moderno.hu/szalonok
Some "famous" (but possibly more expensive) hair saloons: http://welovebudapest.com/shops.and.services.1/the.best.hair.salons.of.budapest
And the best solution, if you are a male with relatively short hair: http://www.arukereso.hu/hajvago-szakallvago-c4208/
Personally I suggest the last one, but you decide. **You can get a good haircutter for about 5.000 - 10.000 Ft, and it will work for years.** I started to cut my own hair about 6 years ago, best decision ever!!! Almost free (after you buy the cutter), convenient, you can do it any time at home; and I got pretty good at it, so I prefer now myself over any barber... :-)

Anyone recommend a hairdresser barber with a little English and reasonably priced.

Quick Hair, several places in town open long hours, no concrete hairdresser as the "receptionist" is managing and distribute customers: http://quickhair.hu/

Hair salon suggestions for men in Budapest Will be in Budapest in April, and looking for an affordable place (max 4/5000 HUF) to get a good haircut, with english...

I think I commented in the previous threads as well, but I still vouch for [Hairskul](https://www.facebook.com/hairskul1.0). They are a bit hipsterish and premium priced, but they'll still fit your budget and won't force anything on you (the photos on their FB page are mostly from barber competitions, they don't do those IRL to customers). A men's cut with washes and tip should be 4000 something and their English is fine. Ask for Péter Latrovszky.

Not maybe the best solution, but when I needed a haircut in Budapest, I didn't want to pay 2 x or 3 x the amount of money than the locals do. That's why I just chose a random barber shop and went in. The owner was a 50-year-old Hungarian woman who spoke no English. However, in the end all went well - I received a cheap and decent haircut, and the service was also super friendly. As I said, not maybe the best solution if you're really worried about getting your hair messed up. But for me, it was certainly a fun experience, and most of all I didn't feel cheated.

I think 4-5 k is already on premium level for barbers. I used to have it cut for 2,5 k. Pm me if you need the address.

My husband always got his hair cut at A-list (the location near Vörösmarty) and liked the results. A men's cut should be less than 5 k HUF.

I went to Toni&Guy this weekend. The cut was great, but I guess that's quite the tourist place, because they charged me 6200 forint. I'm a tourist, so its still way below half price than home, but as far as i know, its expensive for a cut in budapest.
