Andrew Cayley at south west orthodontics, they have some great payment plans as well, although some of the staff could do with some customer service training, they come across a little holier than thou sometimes but otherwise good.

restaurants tried this a while ago but customer backlash put a stop to it. some upmarket ones get away with it. in fact just a couple of weeks ago i had to use my CC to secure a booking for 10 people at Joes Oriental Diner at the Hyatt for lunch. I was also told a minimum cost would apply for the 10 people and that if the booking numbers changed I needed to ring and change the booking at least 48 hours beforehand to avoid paying in full.... so yes some places do it !!! but a hairdresser? I think that's getting a bit much...
