We backloaded with these guys and they were really great, didn't move furniture though, just a heap of boxes, and from memory it was about $300 Melbourne to Sydney. Definitely recommend giving them a call to see if they can do it for you http://www.robinaremovals.com.au/ Another good option (if you have the time) is to hire a truck and drive it yourself

Its expensive to move stuff down. We tried sending a pallet worth if stuff down. Was wuoted between 2000-1800

It will be cheaper to sell them and re-buy from Gumtree or similar when you arrive. Otherwise look up backloading / backhauling. It's where a truck doesn't want to come back empty after doing a run to QLD
