I joined Planet Fitness in Graham two months ago. Found them to be very helpful and not intimidating. Met with a trainer to develop my own fitness plan. And they offer a variety of classes. Open *almost* 24/7. They do shut down a few hrs on the weekend. They are constantly cleaning. It costs $10 a month with a few start up fees. Still very reasonable overall. If you get their prime membership ($20/month), you can bring a guest. I take James with me 3 days a week. All of the equipment is in tip-top shape. (My experience at the Y was different.) They'll gladly give you a no-pressure tour anytime w/o an appointment.
