Im actually looking for a hotel here in YYC... Outside downtown is preferred but it needs to have a spa & nice (ish) restaurant/ bar in the hotel. Any recommendations?...

Radisson at 36 St NE/63 ave. Has a beautiful Spa.. Sana Spa. I use the spa services regularly and don't actually stay at the hotel, since I live about 20 mins away.
Looking for a good massage at a spa in Calgary... I've had a couple of nice massages in Calgary, however at the risk of sounding like a total a-hole, I really want to...

Speak up.... seriously otherwise they aren't going to know. Everyone I go to will chat, and also do not take ANY offense when I say "I really need a quite space today." Really they don't mind in the slightest.

I went to Sublime spa on 17 th ave. They did a good job and only checked in every once in a while to make sure the pressure was ok. No talking otherwise.

Oasis Wellness Centre and Spa is my favourite place to go. I've never had to make small talk with the massage therapists (except to check in that the pressure is OK and what not), and you can claim the massage on your insurance coverage.

Life and Balance on 26 ave has a few good therapists and a good rate if you get the massage a month at $65. It is a clinic but I know that both Rita and Elizabeth know how to respect someone's quiet time and are stellar massage therapists. And they take insurance.

Swizzlesticks has a very relaxing atmosphere, with fully qualified massage therapists, and complete silence during your treatment.

If you are in the North, [Peace of Mind](http://www.peaceofmindmassage.ca/massage_treatments.html) has some great massage options. I like a deep tissue massage that makes me want to cry it hurts so good. A subtle way to avoid chatting is to request music that has no lyrics: "Do you have any of that relaxation music without vocals? I don't wanna think about anything and just melt into the table." If conversation strikes up anyway, don't volley it.
