Check out Elite Sport Performance. It's a Chiropractic clinic but they have Physios on staff. They specialize in knee issues, but they fixed my hip problems after years of other physios failing to.

That's funny, I go to a physio therapist for my hip in NW calgary. He doesn't specialize in hips, but does great work.

I don't have a hip problem, but I recommend Tim at Crowfoot physio. He really helped put me back together after 2 years of killer back pain due to a car accident.
Alright my Darlins... I have finally decided to get a breast reduction! I need a referral to a great surgeon. If anyone knows of one, please send the name my way. ...

What is a reasonable cost for a dental implant in Calgary? Any recommendations on where to go for a consultation? As a teen I knocked out my upper front two teeth and...

I checked with my friend in bridgeland - he charges between 1100-1300 plus lab fee (usually.... 600(?)) To restore an implant. I can get you exact numbers tomorrow. I believe my office is about the same as well. If you want the info to his office let me know.

No it sounds about right. I am due for 2 implants pretty quick as well. I know people who have gone to Mexico for this and have regretted it BECAUSE they do both the post and the crown in one (or close to) visit - which ensures a likely improper fitment weeks/months/years down the road. HOWEVER - I have considered going to Mexico for **just the posts** as getting 2 done would make the trip worth it for the savings.

Spot on. Sadly. I am missing...uh, a tooth three spots from the back, on the top. Quoted $5 k for an implant, that was about 10 years ago. Still toothless there, and I don't care. Ironically, I knocked out my two front teeth as a teen as well. I got a really nice bridge put in like 20 years ago and it's still good. Is that an option for you?

I know my doc told my that he could give me a small reduction on implants as i need two of them. you could always go consult with him.

I paid about 4500 for mine about 5 years ago. Well worth it.

I wouldn't trust too much on Mexico's health system, but I know places like Singapore or Taiwan offers pretty good work for lower dental prices!

Sounds about right if this is a quote from the specialist. Some general dentist do them as well, I know a dentist who is charging I think around $4000. Does your insurance cover the implant crown at all? Sometimes those can be covered (similar to a coverage of a regular crown)
pastelrainbows replied:
Sounds about right for pricing. I think i was about $2500 for the surgery and then the crown for the implant was $2500. Worth it though - I had a very similar situation and have an implant for my front tooth and you can't tell. A good surgeon will make the difference. I had bone grafting and gum reconstruction as part of mine. I always recommend Dr. Luke Liszka@http://www.endoperiocalgary.com/ His wife Erin also does endo and can offer advice on the other root canal

Got my impants done in Turkey for about 800 usd.

Google search "bone grafting weekend course." Then search "dental implant weekend course." It's scary that general dentists are practicing on pig jaws at the Holiday Inn and going back to their offices to do their first implant on a patient without supervision. Make sure you are going to a qualified university/hospital trained specialist (OMFS/Perio) with years of surgical experience for your specialty dental procedures.
