If you're looking for an outdoor venue the Olivas Odobe in Ventura is a nice choice. We catered an event there on Saturday

We're out-of-towners having our wedding at the Camarillo House and would love some Ventura recommendations for catering. Any other advice for vendors will be appreciated...

Hands down best tri-tip style BBQ in Ventura? Marshall's Bodacious BBQ: www.marshallsbodaciousbbq.com Marshall's will blow your mind. If you have any doubts, stop by the restaurant and check it out for yourself. Wood Ranch is pretty good. They're have a location in Camarillo. It's a chain, but a small one: http://www.woodranch.com Stay away from "Chicago for Ribs" in Ventura. They suck. P.S. Congratulations! It will be an amazing day that will fly by so fast you won't believe it. My advice? Save money on the food, but go big on the band. We had an amazing band at my wedding. Worth every penny. They kept everyone dancing and having a great time.

In addition to Marshall's (which I agree with 100%) and Wood Ranch (which is always solid); Green Acres in Simi Valley is excellent for catering and their BBQ is also awesome.

I see BBQ mentioned a lot, as well as Woodranch. I know the owner's of the Stonefire Grill restaurant chain, there's a history between them and Woodranch (though, I'm not sure I'm allowed to go into that), and their food is similar. I've been to a lot of events that Stonefire has catered and they've always done an excellent job. They even cater for William Shatner every year, which is pretty cool. http://stonefiregrill.com, just tell them Cory sent you, they'll laugh in your face.

I am sorry, this is super off topic, but what Camarillo House? Is it a family owned house or is there a house that is commonly rented out and used for weddings?
Anyone know of a delicious, fair priced catering service? No taqueros please. Now a days everyone hires taqueros. I'll be needing one for 50 ppl next month. Thanks in...
