After Chesney's own business closed, due I think to him taking a enforced holiday, he worked for Doug Nice in Waterbeach for a while. Doug told me that Chesney was the only person that he ever had to reprimand for being too thorough and thus taking too long on jobs. He helped me replace a clutch on my tractor once, that means splitting the whole thing into 2 parts and wheeling one 4-5 feet away from the other. When tightening the bolts one wrung off, the way he drilled the stud out with a hand drill was a work of art!
