We just moved to the area and I am looking for suggestions for a family dentist. My youngest (8) had a bad experience with a dentist a few years back so any suggestions...

My 5 year old was difficult seeing my dentists (we tried 2) but she was still scared so I ended up taking her to Dr. Cupelli on Drake Rd. She has been absolutely fine going there with no issues! It's been wonderful for her AND me! lol

We go to Pediatric Dentistry. They are great with kids.

there's some stuff sold in drug stores called "Hurricaine Gel" (yeah, it's spelled like that & sold near the ambesol stuff) that works really well for toothache pain. As for a dentist.... depending if the tooth is broken, Dr. Vance Denning could probably pull it on Monday. His prices are reasonable & he allows you to make payments. If it's broken, though, good luck! They'll all send you to the oral surgeon and it'll be about $350.00

Oil of cloves is a good idea to settle things down. They actually do use that in the dental office. Hurricaine Gel is a topical anesthetic that will numb the tissue, but if it's an abscess at the root apex, it may not do much.
