I'm looking for some small, local, hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Fishers or Carmel, preferably around 116th. I'd also be interested in your thoughts for Noblesville or...

Carmel Tap House has a really good seitan tenderloin.
Christopher G. replied:
I just had a fantastic meal at Ethiopian restaurant St. Yared Cuisine in Fishers, it is locally owned and has lots of meatless options
Marge R. replied:
I like New India, it is better than Amber Indian.http://www.newindiaindianapolis.com/
Monica L. replied:
Just read an article about veggie places in carmel! They listed Vitality Bowls, SoHo cafe, and amber Indian as the best options

Call China Harbor and see if they will accommodate a small group, probably will. The restaurant is on Lake Union, has a view, and serves decent Chinese food including lobster and other seafood. That’s just one place, for a long list, check out https://www.herecomestheguide.com/wedding-party-ideas/detail/intimate-seattle-wedding-venues
I_made_it_myself replied:
Try Ivar's Salmon House on Lake Union or Eastlake Bar & Grill! Good luck!

What kind of food do you like and what time of day are you thinking? Any location preferences or budget guidelines?

There are private rooms at the restaurant at Edgewater Hotel. I also went to a small private party in a room at Black Bottle in Belltown. Also check out Bottlehouse Madrona, my friend had her rehearsal dinner there.

I'm not sure about their pricing, but this place has a beautiful rooftop deck/room and probably serve food similar to their restaurant downstairs (Stoneburner): http://www.hotelballardseattle.com/events-groups/group-reservations.htm
Thinkinaboutu replied:
Check out Adana on Capital Hill. They have a room that can fit about 14 people of to the side of the resteraunt. Amazing food, and some of the friendliest wait staff I've ever had(I go monthly as the menu changes on the 1 st of every month). The room isnt closed, but it separate from the restaurant, so I'm pretty sure their is no booking fee. $37 per person (dessert/drinks not included)
Need advice for an Indy wedding as I’ve never lived in Indy Hey
lavishbadger replied:
Check out Garfield park, their grounds are gorgeous and their pricing seems pretty reasonable. You might also check out Fort Benjamin Harrison. It's an inn and conference center on the grounds of a state park.
Realtor_Robb_Indy replied:
March or May? Skip your likes. Go indoor. Our spring weather is the definition of unpredictable. Seriously anything from an ice storm to 90 degree heat wave is possible in that timeframe...maybe days apart.

I've seen a lot of people use the Ritz Charles to handle the ceremony and they have lots of different venues from which to choose. http://www.ritzcharles.com I'm not sure about the cost though! Good luck!
_neth replied:
Outdoor could be tough because we have snow as late as April some years
alixnaveh replied:
[Indy Parks](https://apm.activecommunities.com/indyparks/Home) has lots of outdoor and indoor options. As LavishBadger said, Garfield park is very pretty, but there are also a lot of other parks if they are booked for your preferred dates. Many of my friends and family have gotten married/hosted receptions within Eagle Creek, it's pretty reasonably priced and has indoor facilities if the weather goes south. Search for Eagles Hide-a-way on the googs to see photos.
We are headed to West Lafayette for the Avett Brothers concert on Friday. Does anyone have restaurant suggestions? Vegan, Vegetarian or veg friendly? Thanks in advance!!
Jessika L. replied:
I bet Mary Marshall can help!
John M. replied:
Oh man, Avett Brothers are so good live. SO GOOD.
Courtney M. replied:
You can also check out hungryboiler.com and search by vegan/veggie options right on campus. I also love vons dough shack but I don't remember if it's vegan
Mary M. replied:
I sure can!!! Sylvia's is the best in terms of actually listing the vegan options on their menu- I invented the Veganista pizza, so you should get it! Otherwise there is the EMT Food Truck if they are out and about that night (you'd have to check their Facebook page). Olive House is great too, but they don't list specific vegan options, but have a great vegetarian section. Lindo Mexico is the same way.

Any suggestions for a kid friendly restaurant downtown near the tree/ circle? ??
Shelli O. replied:
Harry n Izzys. Johnny Rockets in the mall I think any where has a kids menu
David D. replied:
Spaghetti Factory -- on Meridian, just south of the circle (old-school fun). There's a Napolese next to Oceanaire as well (but it might be a little stuffy). There's also a Dick"s Last Resort next to Circle Center, and that's fun for the kiddos.
Andrew W. replied:
Yep, Spaghetti Factory is hard to beat.
Lisa R. replied:
Cafe Patachou? Granite City Brewery went in the mall where Bella Vita was. The restaurant is pretty big. You wouldn't need to sit near the bar.
